Lance Cronin Football Academy (LFCA) Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions apply to all participants attending Lance Cronin Football Academy, including after-school clubs, holiday camps, group sessions, and 1-to-1 coaching.

LFCA reserves the right to amend or update these Terms & Conditions at any time. Any changes will take effect immediately upon publication.


1. Behaviour

  • We expect all players to show respect towards coaches, staff, teammates, opponents, and facilities at all times.
  • If you have any concerns regarding your child during a session, please wait until the session has finished before speaking with Lance or a member of the coaching team.
  • LFCA reserves the right to remove or exclude any participant whose behaviour is considered unacceptable. This includes, but is not limited to:
  • Verbal abuse
  • Physical aggression
  • Bullying
  • Racist or discriminatory behaviour
  • Persistent disruption of sessions
  • No refunds will be issued if a participant is excluded due to misconduct.

Nut-Free Policy

LFCA requests that no nut products are brought to any training session or holiday camp.

Although coaches will remind participants and check lunchboxes where appropriate, LFCA cannot accept responsibility if nut products are brought onto site by participants or visitors.


2. Bookings

  • All bookings must be made through the official Lance Cronin Football Academy online booking system.
  • If a coach is unable to attend due to illness or unforeseen circumstances, LFCA will notify you as soon as possible. A replacement session or refund will be offered where appropriate.

3. Fees, Payments & Refunds

  • All bookings are non-refundable.
  • If training is cancelled due to adverse weather conditions, refunds will not be issued.
  • By completing your booking, you acknowledge and accept this refund policy.

4. Photography & Videography

  • Parents, carers and spectators must not take photographs or videos during sessions in accordance with LFCA's safeguarding and child protection policy.
  • Any photographs or videos taken by LFCA staff will only be used where parental consent has been provided during the booking process.
  • If you do not wish your child to appear in photographs or videos used on our website, social media, advertising or promotional material, it is your responsibility to inform the Academy in writing.

5. Signing In & Collection

  • Players must be signed in by an LFCA coach at the start of each session.
  • Children must be collected pitch-side by a parent or authorised adult at the end of the session.
  • If someone different is collecting your child, you must notify the Academy before the session begins.
  • LFCA cannot accept responsibility for children who leave the session without permission or for children who walk home independently with parental consent.
  • Children should arrive no more than 15 minutes before their session begins.
  • Parents or carers should arrive at least 5 minutes before the scheduled finish time.
  • Unless prior written arrangements have been made, children will only be released to their parent or authorised collector.

6. Medical Information

Parents and carers must inform LFCA of any:

  • Medical conditions
  • Allergies
  • Learning difficulties
  • Disabilities
  • Injuries
  • Medication requirements

This information must be kept up to date.

Participants must be fit to take part in football activities.

LFCA cannot accept responsibility for any medical issue arising from information that has not been disclosed.

If a participant becomes seriously unwell or injured during a session, LFCA will take appropriate action, including contacting emergency services and/or the parent or guardian.

Players requiring medication (such as inhalers or EpiPens) must bring these with them to every session.

Concussion Policy

Any player who has suffered a concussion within the previous two weeks must not participate until written medical clearance from a doctor has been provided.

Failure to disclose a recent concussion releases LFCA from responsibility for any related illness or injury.


7. Attendance

If your child is unable to attend a session, please notify the Academy by email or text as soon as possible. This helps coaches plan sessions appropriately.


8. Weather & Session Cancellations

Training may be cancelled due to adverse weather or un safe playing conditions

Sessions may be cancelled at short notice, including up to one hour before the scheduled start time. please note that all payments are nonrefundable if training is cancelled due to adverse weather condition by completing your booking you acknowledge and accept this policy.

Parents will be notified by:

  • Email
  • Social media
  • Telephone or voicemail (where appropriate)

Once notification has been sent, LFCA accepts no responsibility for parents travelling unnecessarily.

If you are unsure whether a session is going ahead, please contact the Academy before travelling.


9. Data Protection

All personal information provided to LFCA is treated confidentially and stored securely in accordance with UK data protection legislation.

By completing your booking, you consent to your information being stored for:

  • Session administration
  • Emergency contact purposes
  • Booking management
  • Academy updates and general communications

You may opt out of marketing communications at any time.


10. Lost Property

LFCA will collect any lost property found after sessions where possible.

Items will be retained for up to four weeks.

Unclaimed items will then be donated to charity (if suitable) or disposed of.

LFCA accepts no responsibility for lost, stolen or damaged personal belongings.


11. Kit & Equipment

Players must wear suitable football clothing appropriate for the weather.

Required equipment includes:

  • Shin pads (mandatory)
  • Appropriate football boots (astro or moulded studs)
  • Waterproof clothing where necessary
  • Warm clothing during colder months

Metal studs, blades and unsuitable footwear are not permitted.

Players not wearing appropriate footwear or shin pads may not be allowed to participate.


12. Holiday Camps

Participants should bring:

  • A healthy snack
  • Plenty of drinks
  • Any required medication

Holiday camps may be cancelled up to three days before the start date if:

  • Insufficient bookings have been received
  • The venue becomes unavailable
  • Health and safety concerns arise
  • Pitches become unplayable
  • Building works or other unforeseen circumstances prevent delivery

In these circumstances, a full refund will be issued.


13. Liability

Participation in football activities involves an element of risk.

LFCA accepts no liability for loss, theft, damage to personal belongings, injury, illness or death except where caused by negligence or where liability cannot legally be excluded.


14. Insurance

All LFCA coaches and participants are covered under the Academy's Public Liability Insurance while attending official Academy sessions.
